Manchester United considering summer swoop for Jordan Pickford
Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag is reportedly interested in acquiring Jordan Pickford in the summer transfer window, with the intention of potentially replacing David De Gea as the team’s goalkeeper.
Pickford could be sold by Everton to generate funds for other signings.
De Gea currently holds the title of the highest-paid goalkeeper in the English football, but his performances last season were below par, causing Ten Hag to display signs of impatience with the Spaniard.
Pickford has become the primary target for Ten Hag this summer and could be secured for a fee in the region of £40 million.
On the other hand, David Raya, an immensely talented Spanish goalkeeper, has made a significant impact at Brentford Football Club in the Premier League. He began his football journey in Barcelona’s youth academy before joining Blackburn Rovers’ youth setup in 2012. Rapidly progressing through the ranks, he made his professional debut for Blackburn in 2015. His exceptional performances caught the attention of Brentford, who signed him in 2016.
Since joining Brentford, Raya has consistently demonstrated his outstanding shot-stopping abilities and remarkable reflexes, earning him a reputation as one of the top goalkeepers in the Premier League.
