Real Madrid interested in Lille’s Jonathan David
Real Madrid have reportedly set their sights on a deal for Lille forward Jonathan David.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed another stellar season with Les Dogues, contributing nine goals and two assists in 11 Ligue 1 appearances during the 2022-23 campaign.
The attacker has scored 41 goals and provided seven assists in 107 appearances for Lille since arriving from Gent in 2020.
Manchester United and Arsenal were among the interested clubs to be linked with the Canada international over the summer, but the deadline passed with him still at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
According to TodoFichajes, Los Blancos are looking to bring David to Spain next summer, with the reigning European champions viewing him as the ideal acquisition ahead of next season.
The report adds that offers somewhere in the region of €60m are likely to be seriously considered by Les Dogues, with the club prepared to cash in on him at the end of the campaign.
David has a deal at Lille until the summer of 2025.
