Arsenal have reportedly stepped up their interest in PSV Eindhoven forward Cody Gakpo.

The Gunners were heavily linked with a move for the Dutchman earlier in the window.

The 23-year-old attacker has scored 21 goals in 47 appearances across all competitions for PSV, including 12 goals and 13 assists in 27 Eredivisie appearances.

Dutch outlet VI claims that the Gunners’ interest in the frontman has been rekindled, but the north Londoners still have a fight on their hands to prise him away from PSV.

The Dutch giants are still intending to keep hold of the Dutch for the upcoming season, but the club could be persuaded into a sale during the latter stages of the current window.

Gakpo would command a hefty figure to leave, as he extended his contract with PSV until 2026 back in January.
