Liverpool have reportedly identified Porto’s highly-rated midfielder Vitinha as a potential summer signing.

The 22-year-old has been a key member of Sergio Conceicao’s squad this season, contributing three goals and four assists in 40 appearances across all competitions.

According to O Jogo, as quoted by Sports Witness, Liverpool have joined the list of clubs wanting to sign a prolific midfielder, who is believed to have a €40m (£34m) release clause.

The Portuguese youngster endured a difficult loan spell with Wolverhampton Wanderers last term, but he has since developed into a first-team regular with Porto this season.

Vitinha has a deal at the Estadio do Dragao until June 2024.
