Where will Lucas Digne end up playing football?
With the club recently signing left-back Vitaliy Mykolenko from Dynamo Kyiv it looks certain that Lucas Digne will be heading towards the exit door during the January transfer window. There have been a lot of transfer rumours flying around as to where Digne will end up and the bookmakers cannot keep up with the ever-changing odds and different clubs being thrown into the fold. A lot of online bookmakers are having to add in different clubs and odds for people to bet on due to the markets always changing across the gambling world with casinos, not on gamstop having to add different betting markets for punters to place bets on which team Digne will move to next with these examples offering a host of different options to choose from.
The rumours are always changing with a few different clubs being rumoured to be interested in signing Digne either on loan or as a permanent deal. Tow clubs mentioned so far are West Ham United and Chelsea, with West Ham looking to make the deal permanent and Chelsea looking at a loan option to cover the position left by injured left-back Ben Chilwell who is out for the rest of the season with an injury. It is said that Everton would prefer a permanent deal to go through rather than Digne leaving on loan and returning to the club, or they would like to include a clause that if he has a good loan spell the club has an option to purchase him on a permanent deal for a cheaper price than they would pay upfront for him now.
There have been rumours that the relationship with manager Rafa Benitez has gone past the point of return with Digne not featuring for Everton for a long time, he has not even been making the matchday squads for a few months now so a move away in January looks more than likely to happen now.
Chelsea seems to be the firm favourites to sign him now due to Chilwell being ruled out for the season and Alonso not being seen to be up to scratch for the Chelsea team. Digne has a good record for The Premier League with him being one of the best left-backs across the league for a few seasons in a row. A lot of transfer rumours are placing Chelsea are the favourites to sign him either on loan or as a permanent deal, whoever does sign Digne will be getting a proven Premier League footballer.
