Liverpool plot January move for Harvey Barnes
Liverpool have reportedly identified Leicester City attacker Harvey Barnes as a long-term replacement for Sadio Mane, according to Spanish media outlet Fichajes.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is worried about the club’s future seeing as Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are both approaching their thirties.
The report adds that Liverpool have been linked with a number of attackers over the past few months, including Rennes’s Jeremy Doku and Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Pedro Netro.
Barnes is at the top of Klopp’s wish-list following his impressive run of form from a serious injury setback.
Klopp has informed the Liverpool hierarchy that the England international is his preferred choice to add some youth to the attacking department.
Barnes has played eight games in the Premier League this season – but the Foxes winger scored nine goals and registered four assists in 25 outings in the English top flight last term.
