The European champions Chelsea have reportedly placed emphasis on signing Juventus attacker Federico Chiesa ahead of the winter transfer window.

The 24-year-old striker has established himself as one of the hottest talents in Serie A, and he has been touted to leave the Old Lady on a few occasions.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel has given the green light to sign Chiesa, who is contracted to the Bianconeri until June 2022.

The Blues are prepared to pay a fee of £71m to lure the Italy international away from Juventus in the second half of the 2021/22 season.

It remains unclear whether Juve will accept the proposal, but it is true that they are looking to offload players amid financial concerns.

Chiesa has scored three goals in 15 appearances for Juve this season.
