Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Arsenal.

Manchester City and Barcelona have been strongly linked with the 24-year-old midfielder, who is under contract with Gladbach until next June.

However, it does not appear that the attacker will be signing a new contract with the German club, meaning that he is set to be available on a free transfer.

According to Bild journalist Christian Falk, there is also a firm interest from the Gunners, and Zakaria wants to move to the English Premier League.

The Swiss has scored two goals and registered one assist in seven top flight appearances during the 2021-22 campaign.
