Leicester City keeping tabs on Jesse Lingard
Leicester City have reportedly placed emphasis on signing Manchester United attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard in the summer transfer window of 2022, according to Fichajes.
The 28-year-old attacking midfielder was unable to nail down a regular spot under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. This led to a loan move away to West Ham United in January, in which he contributed nine goals and six assists in the process helping the Hammers to qualify for the UEFA Europa League.
The England international courted plenty of interest from clubs over the summer, with the Hammers, in particular, being keen to sign him on a permanent basis.
Leicester City have emerged as rumoured suitors for Lingard, as per the report, The Foxes are keen on strengthening their options amid uncertainties surrounding James Maddison, who is strongly linked with a move away from King Power Stadium.
With Leicester now joining West Ham United, the Englishman is not short of options. It will be interesting to see where he will be playing next season.
Lingard is in the final year of his contract at Old Trafford and has turned down a new deal with the Red Devils.
