Everton join race to sign Barcelona’s Neto
Everton have reportedly placed emphasis on signing Barcelona goalkeeper Neto in the summer transfer window.
According to Sport, Everton are firmly in the race for the 23-year-old stopper who could be available for a fee in the region of €15m (£12.8m).
He has only made 17 appearances for the Catalan giants since 2019, as the Brazilian is the second choice behind Marc-Andre ter Stegen between the sticks.
The report adds that Villarreal and Arsenal are also in the mix, and Neto would prefer a club, where he would likely be the first choice.
The Toffees have already signed a new goalie this summer, bringing Asmir Begovic on a free transfer, while England’s Jordan Pickford is currently Rafael Benítez’s number one stopper.
