Arsenal step up James Maddison interest
Arsenal reportedly remain undeterred in their efforts to sign Leicester City midfielder James Maddison.
The 24-year-old, who found himself surplus to requirements at King Power Stadium last season, has indicated that he would be prepared to leave the club for a bigger club.
Arsenal are hopeful that a move for Maddison will boost their hopes of European qualification for the 2021/22 season.
The North Londoners had their last offer of £55 million rejected for the England international. However, the Gunners seem to have raised enough funds to launch a new offer of £60m for the attacking midfielder.
Maddison is contracted to the Foxes until 2024 and is said to be very happy and has a good rapport with club coach Brendan Rodgers.
