Arsenal pushing to sign Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio?
Arsenal are closely monitoring the rise of Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio in this summer’s transfer window.
The 25-year-old, who has been struggled with injuries in recent seasons, is not guaranteed regular first-team football and is therefore considering his options.
According to todofichajes, Arsenal are ahead of Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur in the race for Asensio’s signature.
The Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is believed to be a huge admirer of the Spain international and is hopeful that the club can enter negotiations with Los Blancos, who value him at around £34m.
The Spanish giants have given no indications to suggest they want to part ways with the striker, who has two years left on his contract.
Asensio scored 37 goals and registered 22 assists in 194 appearances across all competitions for Real Madrid.
