AC Milan are reportedly set to pip Juventus to the signature of Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud.

The 34-year-old is now free to begin discussions with other clubs, and Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo recently hinted that the Bianconeri could look to swoop for the Frenchman.

However, according to Sky Sports News, AC Milan are also said to be keen on the former Arsenal striker and are keeping a close eye on developments surrounding his situation.

The Rossoneri are thought to be in the market for a new frontman and the report claims that Juventus could turn their attention to elsewhere if a deal for Giroud fails to materialise.

Giroud has scored nine goals in all competitions for Chelsea this term.
