Manchester United could be beaten to the signing of Isak Bergmann Johannesson by Serie A champions Juventus, according to The Mirror.

The Red Devils could risk missing out on the signing of the 17-year-old midfielder after the Bianconeri entered the race to sign the starlet.

Bergmann’s impressive performances for Swedish outfit IFK Norrkoping have caught the eye of some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

The report adds that United have been keeping tabs on the newly-capped Iceland international over the past year or so following his amazing displays in the Swedish top flight.

Juve are plotting a bid to sign the teenager in the mid-season transfer window but the Italian outfit haven’t yet matched IFK Norrkoping’s asking price, which is around £10m.

Manchester United take on Istanbul Basaksehir in their next Champions League encounter at Old Trafford before the Premier League giants face Southampton at St Mary’s next weekend.
