Wolves set to beat Man United to the signature of Juve winger Douglas Costa
Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly keen to edge out Manchester United in the race to sign Juventus winger Douglas Costa.
Wolves have identified the Brazilian as a potential replacement for Diogo Jota who joined Liverpool last week.
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, Costa is one of the prime targets to have been earmarked by the West Midlands outfit, with Juve keen to offload the 30-year-old winger due to his injury.
Costa has two years left to run on his contract at Juventus but could still cost the Premier League side in excess of £32m.
Manchester United have also emerged as rumoured suitors for Costa as a cheaper alternative to Borussia Dortmund man Jadon Sancho but the Englishman remains their top target for the current window.
As a result, Nuno Espírito Santo’s side are now thought to be leading the race for Costa’s signature.
