Chelsea keep tabs on Hertha Berlin starlet Lazar Samardzic
Chelsea have reportedly outlined their intentions to move for Hertha Berlin starlet Lazar Samardzic, according to Bild.
The 18-year-old attacking midfielder wants to leave his boyhood club this summer.
He racked up three appearances off the bench for Hertha after the German football restart, with the teenager breaking into the first-team after his impressive displays in the youth ranks.
The Germany Under-19 international is contracted until 2024, so the Bundesliga club are in a safe position with the youngster, there’s a slim chance that they’ll be forced into parting ways for a cut-price fee.
Hertha already boast talented attacking midfielders in the form of Ondrej Duda, Matheus Cuna and Vladimir Darida – with that said, Samardzic wants to discuss his future with the club’s hierarchy.
Samardzic has contributed 14 goals and nine assists in just 16 appearances for Hertha’s Under-19s.
