Real Madrid are weighing up a £60m offer for Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz as they attempt to secure a deal for the Spaniard during the summer transfer window.

Last month, it was suggested that Los Blancos had again been scouting the 23-year-old midfielder, who is also thought to be of interest to La Liga rivals Barcelona.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid are now considering to make a €70m (£60.9m) offer for the playmaker, but they would be prepared to pay as much as €80m (£69.6m) to secure a deal.

The midfielder will see his contract at Partenopei expire at the end of 2022/23 season, but it is thought that the Serie A outfit are attempting to discuss a new deal so they can include a release clause.

Ruiz has scored three goals and provided two assists in 32 appearances at club level this season.

Madrid have also remain undeterred in their efforts to sign Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kylian Mbappe as they attempt to bring the World Cup winner to the Bernabeu.
