Leeds United sign Ian Poveda from Manchester City
Leeds United have confirmed the signing of Ian Poveda from Manchester City on a permanent four-year-deal.
The 19-year-old midfielder, who made just one senior appearance for City – has penned a deal at Elland Road until 2024.
The teenager becomes the Whites’ second signing of the January following the arrival of Elia Caprile from A.C. ChievoVerona.
The Englishman told LUTV: “I know Leeds won the league the year before it turned into the Premier League and I believe they should be back there.

“I’m very excited to work under [Marcelo] Bielsa, I know he improves players and that’s what I’m looking to do under his guidance.”
The London-born winger has, though, made 11 appearances for Man City’s under-23 side in 2019/20, contributing three goals.
Leeds are currently 2nd in the Championship table, one point behind West Bromwich Albion.
