Inter Milan close in on Christian Eriksen swoop
Inter Milan have reportedly won the race to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen, according to Danish media Ekstra Bladet.
The Denmark international has six months left on his current contract at Spurs which has prompted the likes of Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus to bid for his signature.
However, the aforementioned report that Inter will pay Tottenham £20m in the ‘coming weeks’ to beat their rivals.
It is understood, Eriksen is widely expected to leave the Lilywhites on a free transfer at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
The Italian giants could attempt to agree a cut-price deal with Jose Mourinho’s side this month, although the playmaker could instead arrive on a free transfer ahead of the 2020-21 season.
Eriksen has scored three goals and registered three assists in 23 appearances for Tottenham this season.
