Arsenal to rival Everton for James Rodriguez – Report
Arsenal and Everton will reportedly go head to head for the signing of Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez.
The 28-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at the Spanish capital and speculation ignites regarding an exit this month.
Los Blancos are believed to have ruled out a loan move for the Colombian, but a number of elite clubs across Europe may look to snap up the playmaker on a permanent contract.
Everton are rumoured to be one of the clubs interested in the South American, while a report in Spain claims that Arsenal are also interested in the player’s signature.
The Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is said to be after more quality in the middle of the park and has set his sights on Rodriguez, who has made five La Liga and Champions League appearances for Real Madrid this term.
