Manchester United have allegedly earmarked Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek as their top summer transfer targets.

The Red Devils would be prepared to let the idea of Paul Pogba leaving Old Trafford either in January or at the end of the season, which will see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side move for two new central midfielders.

According to The Daily Mail, Van de Beek is reportedly the subject of interest from the Premier League giants, although United are likely to face fierce competition from Real Madrid.

The 22-year-old midfielder has been in impressive form for the Dutch outfit during the current campaign, scoring 7 goals and providing 6 assists in 23 outings across all competitions.

The Dutchman’s contract with the Eredivisie giants is valid until June 2022.
