Chelsea are reportedly confident that they will be able to break their transfer record in order to complete the signing of Jadon Sancho next summer.

The 19-year-old Dortmund forward has emerged as one of the hottest properties in world football, scoring 17 goals and providing 20 assists in the Bundesliga.

The England international, who is said to be valued at over £100m – has been strongly linked with a move away from BVB next summer – especially after the teenager was left unsettled by manager Lucien Favre questioning his attitude last month.

According to Goal.com, Chelsea are willing to surpass the €80m spent on Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Club last year.

There is a belief among the Blues’ hierarchy that they can win the race for the Englishman due to the player’s strong relationship with England team-mates Tammy Abraham and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

However, reports have linked Liverpool, Manchester United and Real Madrid with establishing an interest in signing Sancho next summer.
