Inter Milan have reportedly stepped up their interest in signing Alexis Sanchez on loan from Manchester United this summer, according to The Daily Mirror.

Nerazzurri have reopened talks with the Red Devils about signing the 30-year-old attacker on loan.

The Italian outfit are keen on bringing the Chile international to the San Siro for the season before the European transfer window shuts down on 2 September.

The report adds, Man United want Inter Milan to pay at least £5m of Sanchez’s wages to make the move materialise next week.

The attacker is yet to feature for United this term after picking up an injury while on national duty at the Copa America in the summer.

Sanchez has struggled to find consistent form for the 20-time English champions since his move to Old Trafford from Arsenal in January 2018.
