Manchester United are still interested in signing Newcastle United central midfielder Sean Longstaff this summer, according to The Evening Standard.

The Red Devils are still keen on a deal to sign the youngster to Old Trafford as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to bolster his squad.

It has been reported, that the 21-year-old is one of a number of targets that Solskjaer has his eye, with United also keeping tabs on Jadon Sancho, Declan Rice, James Maddison and Aaron Wan Bissaka.

Longstaff clearly impressed United chiefs this season, with the attacker having scored one goal in nine Premier League appearances for the Magpies.

Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table and without a trophy earlier this season.
