Liverpool are set to rival Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of Rakeem Harper from West Brom this summer, according to The Daily Mirror.

The Reds are among the clubs keeping tabs on the 19-year-old midfielder, who will be out of contract this month and has failed to agree a new deal at The Hawthorns.

The report adds, West Brom manager Slaven Bilic is desperate to hold talks to try and persuade the youngster to stay at The Baggies.

Juventus, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are all said to be interested in securing the midfielder’s signature this summer.

Harper has contributed one goal and one assist in 17 Championship appearances for the Albion last season.

The Merseyside giants are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new additions this summer as manager Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.
