Real Madrid to rekindle interest in Liverpool forward Sadio Mane
The Champions League holders Real Madrid have revived their interest in Liverpool striker Sadio Mane following Zinedine Zidane’s return as manager.
The La Liga giants were heavily linked with a move for the 26-year-old forward during Liverpool’s run to the final of the Champions League last season, with reports surfaced linking him with the European champions.
However, Zidane’s exit resulted ended their pursuit of Mane, who went on to sign a new contract at Anfield in November.
France Football now claims that Los Blancos are ready to rekindle their interest as part of a major summer overhaul following a poor season domestically and in Europe as well.
Mane has scored 20 times for Liverpool across all competitions.
Madrid’s league rivals Barcelona have also been linked with a move for the Senegal international after Lionel Messi allegedly urged the club’s management to sign him.
