Arsenal have reportedly expressed an interest in making a summer move for Atletico Madrid winger Gelson Martins, according to Portuguese media outlet A Bola, as quoted by talkSPORT.

The Gunners are interested in a potential swoop for the 23-year-old attacker, who has scored three times and has made one assist in seven Ligue 1 appearances since his move to Monaco from Atleti.

The report goes on to claim that the north Londoners were interested in a loan move for the Portuguese in the January transfer window but missed out on a deal after the player moved to French outfit for the rest of the season.

Martins was part of the squad that represented Portugal at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
