Arsenal join race for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner
Arsenal have reportedly joined Liverpool in the race to sign Timo Werner from RB Leipzig, according to The Mirror.
The 22-year-old has scored 24 times in the Bundesliga top flight since the start of last campaign to establish a reputation of being one of the most highly-rated forwards on the continent.
The Germany international, who has bagged five goals in five appearances since the start of December, recently emerged as a prime target for Premier League leaders Liverpool.
The Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are also believed to hold an interest in the youngster, who recently hinted that he would like to join the Bavarians should he be sold in the summer.
However, the report claims, Arsenal could take the lead by stepping forward with an offer of their own.
