Pop singer Shakira celebrates her partner Gerard Pique’s retirement on social media.

Barcelona centre-back Gerard Pique made the announcement on Saturday, stating that he is retiring from international football and will concentrate on the La Liga giants for the next three years.

The 31-year-old made the last of his 102 international appearances in La Roja’s World Cup last-16 defeat to Russia.

After the announcement was revealed, Shakira expressed her support on Instagram, writing, “Love, a stage that we will always keep in our hearts is done. One of the happiest moments of my life has also been seeing you win in 2010 with the national team and celebrate with Spain.”
