Arsenal have emerged as rumoured suitors for Boca Juniors star Cristian Pavon this summer, according to Spanish outlet AS, as quoted by Metro.

The Gunners are determined to try and secure a deal to sign the 22-year-old attacker after having previously a failed bid back in January.

The report adds, Boca Juniors rejected a bid of around £27m for Pavon earlier in the January transfer window. However, the north London outfit still retain an interest in signing the Argentina international this summer as they look to try and improve their front lines ahead of next season.

Arsenal head-coach Unai Emery is believed to be on the lookout for new signings this summer as he looks to bolster a squad at least capable of breaking back into the top four next season.

Arsenal ended up in sixth spot in the Premier League table last season.
