Real Madrid consider £307million for Neymar
Real Madrid have reportedly expressed an interest in making a world-record bid for Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar.
Last summer, the Brazilian opted to leave Camp Nou for the French champions but just months into his long-term deal, it was suggested that the 26-year-old was unhappy with life in French capital.
The Champions League winners have long been linked with an approach for the Brazil international and according to The Sun, Real Madrid are ready to bid £307million in order to tempt the Ligue 1 outfit into a sale.
The report goes on to claim that come September 1, a clause in Neymar’s contract will allow the forward to leave the Parisians for £263m, but it appears that Los Blancos are looking to accelerate any deal for an extra £44m.
If the deal goes through, it would put the future of Cristiano Ronaldo in doubt, with the Madrid giants unlikely to be able to have both players on the wage bill.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Ronaldo would ‘definitely’ leave the Bernabéu before the end of the summer window.
