Done Deal: Manchester United confirm Alexis Sanchez move

Manchester United have announced that they have completed the signing of Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan completing a move to an opposite direction.

Sanchez has been heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium, but now it has been confirmed that the Chilean international has joined the Red Devils.

Reports suggested that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was keen on replacing Sanchez with Mkhitaryan, but the 29-year-old Armenian’s representative Mino Raiola claimed that a move was far from guaranteed.

However, on Monday afternoon, both teams United and Arsenal are now in a position where they can confirm that both players have traded clubs.

The North-West outfit have not revealed the length of Sanchez’s contract, but reports have emerged that the Chilean has penned a four-year deal with the 20-time English champions.

Sanchez could be available for his United debut when they face Yeovil Town in the FA Cup on Friday night.
