Man United join Arsenal to sign Thomas Lemar
Manchester United have reportedly joined the Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea in the race to sign Thomas Lemar from AS Monaco, according to Yahoo! Sport, as quoted by the Daily Star.
The report suggests that the Red Devils are now among the clubs wanting to sign the Frenchman in the mid-season transfer window.
Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in signing the 22-year-old midfielder, who scored two goals and provided four assists in 13 Ligue 1 appearances for the French outfit this season.
The report adds that United boss Jose Mourinho has a £80m budget to spend in the new year as he looks to try and strengthen his squad for the second half of the season.
The Portuguese manager finds himself under pressure to add to his squad after the 20-time English champions fell a staggering 13 points behind the league leaders Manchester City in the race for the Premier League silverware.
