Marseille to pay £20m for Olivier Giroud
The French outfit Marseille are reportedly willing to pay £20m in order to sign Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud this summer, according to Sky Sports News.
The France international has dropped down the pecking order at the Emirates due to Alexis Sanchez regularly being played in a central position.
Giroud, 30, has started just eight league games and has made 15 starts, scoring nine times and providing three assists so far this term.
The report claims, the Ligue 1 outfit have put Giroud at the top of their prime transfer targets and believe they can convince the attacker to return to France.
The striker recently penned a contract extension in January, that will keep him at the north London until 2020, but Marseille have enough money to lure the Gunners into a deal.
Giroud joined Arsenal from Montpellier for £12m in 2012.
Marseille are sitting sixth in Ligue 1, with 28 points behind the top two of PSG and Monaco.
