IPL 2017: Shane Watson set to lead the line for Royal Challengers Bangalore
Australian all-rounder Shane Watson has been named interim captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) following injury to regular skipper Virat Kohli.
Kohli, 28, picked up a shoulder injury during a Test match against Australia last month. The right-handed batsman is still not completely fit to play the 10th edition of mega-rich T20 league, starring tomorrow (April 5) in Hyderabad.
The 35-year-old Shane Watson, who previously captained the Rajasthan Royals – joined the RCB camp in 2016, will lead the side at early stages of the league.
RCB will begin their campaign against the reigning champions Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
