Crystal Palace v Manchester City Preview
Crystal Palace have been on the relegation edge in the Premier League and they are ready to face a tough challenge when they host Manchester City at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
Since drawing at Everton, Crystal Palace have suffered four straight defeats including home games against West Ham 1-0 and Liverpool 4-2.
Manchester City currently occupy third position, two points behind league leaders Liverpool. Whereas, The Eagles sit in 16th spot just a point above the drop zone.
Alan Pardew’s men have lost their last 4 league games, and have failed to keep a clean sheet throughout this season. The game against City could produce the same performance.
Pardew will want his team to play defensively than of late and so it could be a courtesy of a single goal or two. They have struggled in recent weeks, and they are very much in need of a victory to avoid relegation.
Pep Guardiola’s side looking forward to get back to winning ways after their disappointing draw at home to Middlesbrough in Champions League group stage.
Predicted line-ups:
Crystal Palace: Speroni, Mariappa, Dann, Delaney, Ward, Puncheon, Jedinak, Dikgacoi, Bolasie, Joe Ledley, Jerome.
Manchester City: Hart, Zabaleta, Demichelis, Kompany, Clichy, Fernandinho, Y Touré, Milner, Nasri, Dzeko, Aguero.
It promises to be an absorbing contest – Manchester City are currently favourite to win with Palace being the underdog at odds of 10/2. It is likely the hosts could slip into the bottom three this weekend.
