Premier League Preview: Chelsea vs Liverpool
The Premier League heavyweights Chelsea and Liverpool will face each other at the Stamford Bridge on Friday, Sep. 16
After winning three straight wins, Chelsea have finally tasted their first winless game in this campaign when the Blues settled to a 2-2 draw at Swansea City on Sunday.
Thanks to Diego Costa, who scored in the 18th minute to give the Blues a 1-0 lead at the halftime break. However, the Swans were not to be dominated at their home soil, scoring a quick two goals, with the help of midfielders Gylfi Sigurdsson and Leroy Fer at the 59th and 62nd minutes, to gain the lead at 2-1.
Later, Costa scored the equaliser for the west Londoners with nine minutes left before full time to put into the draw and help the club to avoid its first defeat this season.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have marked a remarkable 4-1 victory over the defending champions Leicester City at the Anfield last Saturday.
Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp guided Daniel Sturridge in the middle, kept Sadio Mane in the right wing, and Roberto Firmino to the left, which proved to be impressive as the trio executed well in the attacking front three.
The much-anticipated match between Chelsea and Liverpool is expected to be highly-exciting performances against one another. No doubt, all eyes will be on Chelsea who are remain favourites to clinch the title this year.
Chelsea are now at the second place in the league table, two points behind the league leaders Manchester City, who are doing well after their 2-1 win over Manchester United last Saturday.
