Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Monaco’s highly-rated midfielder Lucas Ocampos, according to Tutto Mercato Web.

The Argentine international, who spent last season on loan at Marseille, has notched two times in 14 games and provided one assist for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

The report suggest that the French outfit are willing to let the 20-year-old winger develop in the Southern France for just a little while longer, preventing him to move to Premier League.

Ocampos has emerged as a long-term target for the Merseyside club, having previously been linked to Liverpool back in 2011.

It remain to be seen, if Ocampos could be set for another loan spell at Marseille or he would choose a move to Liverpool this summer.
