The 29-year-old was the club’s top goal-scorer during the 2014 campaign, scoring 31 goals in all competitions.
The announcement comes following the departure of Thierry Henry, who announced that he will be leaving the team after his four years of spell with New York Red Bulls.
The 2014 MLS Golden Boot winner joined the Red Bulls from Charlton Athletic in July 2013.
