Davies’s previous deal was due to expire next year, but the 28-year-old has now committed himself at the Oval until the end of the 2016 season.
The left-hander, who joined Surrey from his hometown county Worcestershire in 2010 – has scored 937 runs in Division Two of the County Championship last season, at an average of 40.
Davies took twitter to express his feelings after signing a new two-year contract.
Delighted to have extended my stay at Surrey. Thanks for all of you’re kind messages. Should be a great two years. #TheRey
