Ronaldo sets new Euro Championship record
The Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo has become the all-time top goalscorer in European Championship 2016 qualifying as Portugal beat Armenia 1-0 in Group I.
The 29-year-old scored his 23rd in the competition, passing Denmark’s Jon Dahl Tomasson (22 Goals) and Turkey’s Hakan Sukur.
The Real Madrid talisman is now become the all-time leading goalscorer in Euro Championships and qualifiers.
In addition, Ronaldo has scored 21 goals for Los Blancos in 14 league and Champions League games this season.
After this win, Portugal are now climb into second spot in Group I.
