La Liga giants Barcelona are plotting a £22m swoop for Chelsea centre-back David Luiz in the summer transfer window, according to reports in The Mirror

The Brazil international had been in rumours to be linked with a move to the Spanish champions last year, but the Blues manager Jose Mourinho decided to keep him at Chelsea.

The former Benfica star, Luiz has featured 14 times for the Blues in premier league this season and following with his poor performance, the 26-year-old defender’s future seems uncertain at the club and likely to leave the Stamford Bridge this summer.

Nou Camp club have still keen on the Brazilian and wants to pick him into their squad for only £22m at the end of the season, which seems enough to tempt the Londoners.
