Manchester United have reportedly expressed an interest in making a potential move to sign Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic in the summer, according to Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, as quoted by The Sun.
The Red Devils are considering to make a “tempting offer” for the Croatia international in the summer transfer window.
The 30-year-old’s future at Camp Nou is uncertain after the Spanish champions signed promising Dutchman Frenkie de Jong from Ajax earlier this season.
The Netherlands international will link up with his new Barca team-mates in the summer when the 21-year-old will compete with Rakitic for a first-team place.
The report adds, the North-West giants could face tough competition from three other clubs with the likes of Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan for the Croatian ace this summer.
Rakitic has scored twice and has provided two assists in 24 appearances in the Spanish top flight for the Catalan giants in the current campaign.
