Liverpool are reportedly keen to sign Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio in next summer’s transfer window.
The 22-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Anfield ahead of the 2018-19 campaign, but Los Blancos refused to sell the midfielder.
According to The Mirror, Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is still desperate to land Asensio, and the German boss is confident that Madrid would sell the player for the right price at the end of this season.
Asensio has once again been a regular starter for Madrid this season, but his overall form has been criticised, while he has managed to score just one goal thus far.
The Spain international has scored 23 goals and provided 13 assists in 109 appearances for Los Blancos in all competitions.
Asensio’s contract at the Bernabeu is valid until the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
