Joe Clarke sign Nottinghamshire on a four-year deal

The wicket-keeper batsman Joe Clarke has become the latest player to join English County outfit Nottinghamshire, after signing a four-year deal.

The 22-year-old right-handed batsman is one of the hottest young prospects at the moment and recently helped Worcestershire to lift the Vitality Blast T20 title.

Clarke has scored over 3,800 runs in 60 First Class matches at an average of 40, including 12 hundreds with a career-best of 194 against Derbyshire in 2016.

“We’re very pleased that Joe has decided to join us. He’s a very good young player with a great record already behind him,” said Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell.

“Hopefully we can make the most of his talent and help him become the best player he can be.”

Clarke joins Ben Slater, Ben Duckett and Zak Chappell with the Club.
