Man United on verge of completing £15m move for CSKA Moscow midfielder Aleksandr Golovin

Manchester United have reportedly outlined their intentions to move for CSKA Moscow midfielder Aleksandr Golovin, according to The Sun.

The Red Devils are close to completing a £15m deal to sign the Russia international ahead of the 2018 summer transfer window.

The report adds that United boss Jose Mourinho attended Austria’s 1-0 win over Russia to scout Golovin as well as West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic.

United’s interest in the Austrian has been well documented but The Sun suggest that watching Golovin was the main purpose of Mourinho’s trip.

The report goes on to claim, the 20-time English champions expect to spend £15m on the 22-year-old attacker as a long-term replacement for Juan Mata.

Golovin has scored seven times in 43 games in all competitions last season.
