Chelsea are reportedly considering a potential move to sign West Ham United striker Andy Carroll this month, according to reporter Bryan Swanson.
The Blues are in the market to try to sign a proven striker in the January transfer window.
Carroll has emerged as a shock January target for the defending Premier League champions over the past couple of weeks.
Swanson believes Chelsea’s interest in the England international is genuine despite the surprise bid.
“Conte hasn’t rushed out and denied it. He hasn’t put it to bed. You just feel this [Carroll to Chelsea talk] has legs,” Swanson told the Transfer Talk podcast.
The west Londoners have won the Premier League title in two of the past three years under Jose Mourinho and then Antonio Conte.
Chelsea are currently in fourth place in the Premier League table.
