Alexis Sanchez close to Manchester City move?

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez could reportedly finalise a move to Premier League leaders Manchester City this week, according to ESPN.

The 29-year-old came close to joining City on deadline day back in the summer, but a deal was failed to materialise.

Several reports have claimed that the Chilean ace, whose Gunners’ contract expires at the end of the season, has set his sights on moving to the Etihad Stadium.

The North Londoners are understood to want around £40million for the player’s signature, and the club are desperate to sell him in this window rather than let him leave for nothing at the end of the season.

The report claims, an agreement between the two sides could be reached as early as this week, with City manager Pep Guardiola keen to bring in reinforcements due to Gabriel Jesus’s injury, that could keep him sidelined for at least six weeks.

Sanchez has scored 8 times in 21 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal.
