Henrikh Mkhitaryan heading towards Manchester United exit

Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan is reportedly the subject of interest from Borussia Dortmund amid rumours of a rift with coach Jose Mourinho, According to BBC Sport.

Mkhitaryan was a regular in United’s XI for the first half of the season but has left out of the side’s last two matches, with Mourinho accusing him of “disappearing” during games.

The report adds, Mkhitaryan’s situation at Old Trafford has alerted the Bundesliga giants, who sold the 28-year-old on to the Red Devils in July 2016.

Dortmund could move as soon as possible in the new year if Mourinho deems the Armenian surplus to requirements, with a fee around £30m mark, likely to be sufficient to get the deal done.

The German side have the previous form buying back players from the Premier League giants, with Shinji Kagawa returning to Germany in 2014 after two seasons in the UK.
