Crystal Palace ponder Theo Walcott swoop

Crystal Palace are weighing up a January move for Arsenal out-of-favour Theo Walcott, according to The Gambling Times.

The England international has been told he can leave the Emirates this January, unless he proves his worth into first-team contention.

The 28-year-old winger has found himself falling down the pecking order, with the likes of Welbeck, Lacazette and Sanchez are all in front at the north London outfit.

The Eagles are yet to score a goal this season, and are desperately looking to strengthen their attacking options, with Benteke and Zaha both ruled out through injury.

Roy Hodgson’s side were linked with former Southampton talisman Rickie Lambert, however he has since retired from football.

Walcott joined the Gunners in 2006, and has since gone on to make 264 appearances, scoring 65 goals.
